Sizing calculator

How many containers do you need?

Select each vehicle and enter the charge level from and to which it is charged at midday and in the evening. The calculator shows how many containers you need, the minimum grid connection and how long charging takes.

Depot example

One CEE 63 socket. Two e-trucks. No grid upgrade.

  1. Night to noon
    43 kW
The container recharges from the CEE 63 socket. By noon it is full.
  2. 12:00 noon
    40 → 80 %
Two trucks charge 200 kWh each in parallel: in approx. 35 min (400 kW) and approx. 65 min (200 kW).
  3. Afternoon
    +200 kWh
The container recharges from the socket.
  4. 17:00 evening
    20 → 70 %
Both trucks charge 250 kWh each: in approx. 40 and 80 min. Ready to go the next morning.
900 kWh
per day into the trucks, from a socket with only 43 kW
over 9 h
the midday charge would take directly at the CEE 63 socket
over 40 %
reserve remains in the storage at all times

Assumptions: trucks with 500 kWh usable battery (e.g. Volvo FH Electric, MAN eTGX, Mercedes eActros 600), charged from 40 to 80 % at midday and from 20 to 70 % in the evening. CEE 63 A at 400 V = approx. 43 kW continuous power. Storage 5–95 % (approx. 1,130 kWh). Calculated with approx. 10 % charging losses; charging times are guide values.
